ASBI Grouting Training Recertification

Recertify Online

Certified Grouting Technicians from the Class of 2018 must now recertify their credential to maintain their status as a Certified Grouting Technician.

Requirements for renewal are as follows:

  1. Complete the Online Registration with a valid e-mail address.
  2. Completion of an internet-based examination through steps in email once registration is complete.

Note: Florida DOT Construction Training and Qualification Program (CTQP)
By renewing your ASBI Grouting Training Certificate you continue to qualify for the FDOT Level I CTQP. The CTQP is required for CEI inspectors as well as Contractor grouting crew workers.

Technician Recertification

Requirements for Recertification are as follows:

  1. Complete the Online Registration with a valid e-mail address.
  2. Provide verifiable documentation of an additional 1½ years of experience in construction of grouted post-tensioned structures to the ASBI office. The verifiable experience should include the project name, project start date/end date, and a brief description of the experience in construction of grouted post-tensioned structures. Use as many additional sheets as necessary.
  3. Completion of an internet-based examination (You will receive an email once we process your online registration, and verify your experience).

Florida DOT Construction Training and Qualification Program (CTQP)
By recertifying your Certified Grouting Technician certificate you continue to qualify for the FDOT Level II CTQP. The CTQP is required for Contractor’s grouting crew foreman.

Recertify Offline

On behalf of the ASBI Board of Directors, we are glad you have made the decision to enhance your professional development by renewing your Certified Grouting Technician designation or your Grouting Training Certificate.

Qualifications to Recertify as a Certified Grouting Technician:

  4. Receive your study materials, username and password from the ASBI Office.
  5. Complete and pass the Internet-based examination.

Examination Format and Timeline

The online examination consists of 50 questions. You will have one hour to complete the online examination. If you leave the exam site before you complete the test, you will lose all test answers. Upon completion of a passing grade (70%) you are able to print your new Certified Grouting Training / Technician Certificate valid for 5 years (2028). If you do not meet the 70% requirement or end the exam before it is completed, you are allowed to take the exam two additional times. The deadline to successfully complete the exam is December 1, 2023. If you miss this deadline, you will have to reapply in 2024.
